SUMMER PLAY SESSIONS

Milton Keynes Play Association

MK Play Association is running its free, open-access play sessions every weekday in August (except Bank Holiday Monday) at venues across the city.

Activities include bouncy castles, crafts, sports and games.

Activities are suitable for children aged four and up, but younger children are welcome. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

Sessions are funded by participating parish, town and community councils.

All sessions will run whatever the weather.

MK YOUNG FILMMAKER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION

MK Gallery

MK Gallery has launched an exciting competition for budding filmmakers aged four to 19, who are invited to produce and submit a short film.

The gallery is also holding Filmmaking Masterclasses for youngsters aged 16 and over tomorrow, Friday and on Friday August 19.

MKCA is now recruiting new members. This is a chance for children aged four and over and adults to join a fun sport, with something for everyone, from gymnastics and dancing to stunting and jumping. MKCA have both recreational and competitive cheerleading and dance teams. First session is free.

August 5 and 6, MK Theatre

More than 100 local youngsters are set to light up the sky like a flame in this MK Stage Experience production.

Selected through open auditions in the spring, the kids aged 10 to 21 coached by professionals for the show, which has a professional set and a live orchestra.
