Milton Keynes youngsters urged to get involved in democracy

Young people aged 11-18 are invited to nominate themselves for election to the Milton Keynes Youth Cabinet and UK Youth Parliament.

36 young people from across the city currently make up the Milton Keynes Youth Cabinet, giving a voice to all young people across Milton Keynes.

The UK Youth Parliament is a national forum of 500 young people from across the UK which gives young people a national voice. It is currently running national campaigns on a curriculum to prepare young people for life and for votes at 16 and 17. Milton Keynes has openings for two Members of Youth Parliament (MYP) and two Deputy Members of Youth Parliament (DMYP).
