January is the fourth most popular month for couples taking the next big step in their relationships. Unsurprisingly summer months, July and August, lead the way with the most engagement ring searches. November also scored highly in the data perhaps due to its close proximity to Christmas and other end of the year milestones.

Proposals are extremely common in January compared to February, despite that month coinciding with Valentine's Day. Psychic World's findings show a 33% drop off in engagement related internet activity in February. There were just 246,000 searches for engagement rings in February compared with 301,000 in January.
