The best purveyors of food and leisure in the city will be unveiled at a glitzy ceremony on Sunday, May 12.
The winners of Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards will be announced at Jury’s Inn, with gongs up for grabs including for the best chef, best restaurant, best hotel and top attraction.
More than 3,000 votes have been submitted, with some categories going right down to the wire.
The final contest in the awards took place today at Milton Keynes College, where the Asian chef of the year cook-off saw judges sample the best in Indian food.
Finalists from Wolverton’s Verandah Talk and Calcutta Brasserie, in Stony Stratford, produced a starter, main and dessert.
Chefs NaumanFaraz, from Verandah Talk, and Abdul Salam, from Calcutta, were competting for the title, and the winner will be revealed on Sunday.
The Food Awards remit goes beyond simple food and drink with gongs up for grabs for best restaurant, pub, hotels, chefs, gyms and destinations in the city.
