A NEW Year it may be, but for Hula Animal Rescue it is the same old situation: A need to raise funds and awareness for their critical work taking in abandoned and mistreated animals.
On Sunday the centre – at Glebe Farm in Aspley Guise, will host its New Year Get together, a chance to entice people through the gates to see the valuable work they do, and swell the coffers some in the process.
‘Beat the winter blues with some retail therapy,’ invite organizers.
Among reasons to open your purse and spend a few pennies, you’ll find a bazaar and book stall, and the usual tasty selection of home made refreshments.
Of course you will also be able to meet the rescued animals on site too.
Some of them have been through a pretty traumatic time of it all, thanks to man’s disgraceful behaviour.
Show them some gentle concern, a stroke here and a little cuddle there can make a real difference to the beautiful creatures in Hula’s care…or could you offer a forever home?
Speak to a member of staff at the event, which will run between 1 and 3.30pm.
Admission is just £2 and accompanied kids go free.
Please help Hula to help more animals.
