At Campbell Park on Sunday, Disability Awareness Day is being celebrated with a carnival-themed Picnic in the Park.
MK-based paralympian fencing champion Valarie Williamson, Britain’s youngest paralympian fencing champion Gabi Down, and paralympian footballer Alistair Patrick-Heselton will be inspiring the ‘can do’ attitude at the event.
Music will come from Haddon Beats, with drumming from Warriors, and dance from Neon.
Encompass and MK Snap will also be contributing to the event, and when you’ve finished absorbing the action, you can get involved in some of your own – with the opportunity to try more than a dozen sports and games.
Arts and crafts stalls will tempt you, you can meet the MK Dons mascots and hop on-board their tour bus for a look around.
Oh, and say ‘ello ‘ello and indeed ‘ello to the Thames Valley Police Community Unit.
Cakes, cookies, pizza and bread will be available from Camphill and MK Snap, and the Really Awesome Coffee makers.
If you want a piece of the action, pop along to the MK Rose between midday and 3pm.
Admission is free.
