Six years since the Sunset Lounge began strumming its way in Newport Pagnell?
Time flies, and things get bigger, and we don’t only mean waistlines: Sunset honcho Jet Lagged Jeff used to ply his musical wares alone, but has since convinced others to stand side by side with him in musical unity – they are called the Po Boys.
Together, the expanded mob make blues rock fury, really.
‘Wailing harmonica solos, breathy-gravely vocals, slap bass and tight beats combine to induce a toe tapping, head banging knees up good time for the whole family. Especially your daughters,’ assures someone from that JLJ camp.
He has the best moniker, and quite likely the best tunes that are going to spill in the Keynes this week, and it’ll all be happening this Friday evening at The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton.
But before you get to the scrummy main-course, you’ve got not one, but two tempting starters to get your musical taste-buds jumping.
Alternative blues rockers Mr Wolfe are on, as are Sweetcorn Bread, who have their roots in blues, folk, funk and reggae.
If that lot don’t sate your appetite, we give up.
