IT is a win-win situation: One of the coolest men’s grooming product company’s sponsoring the most successful ice hockey team in the English Premier League.

Talk about a cool partnership!

That team are our own MK Lightning, of course – three league titles and four play-off titles in their decade long history, is hardly to be sniffed at.

The grooming side are Bluebeards Revenge, who for the second season have decided to sponsor our boys.

“Ice hockey is one of the fastest-growing participation sports in England and it fits perfectly with our core brand values,” says Bluebeards PR & marketing manager Nick Gibbens.

“The Lightning have a great tradition of playing some of the most open and attacking ice hockey in the UK and we are confident they will achieve on field success in the coming season.”

“The Bluebeards Revenge is absolutely delighted to be able to extend the helmet sponsorship deal for another season and build on the success of the last 12 months,” Nick added.

In an oversubscribed smelly industry (and we mean that in the nicest possible way), it can be difficult for one brand to stand out from another: Unless you are Bluebeards Revenge of course: With its striking deep blue skull and crossbones adorned packaging it’s a stand-alone winner. No wonder the chaps love it: And girls, if you enter our competition, your fella could walk off with a special gift set brimming with beardy-defying brilliance.

We’ve got a family ticket (two adults, two kids) to throw in for the Lightning’s home match on October 20th as well.

You’ll be in his good books, and then some!

The set comprises pre-shave oil, shaving cream, post shave balm, a ‘Doubloon’ Bristle Shaving Brush and anti-perspirant....and as well as smelling sweeter than he has in yonks, he’ll naturally have a face free of those bristly bits you hate!

One word of warning, mind: Bluebeard is proud of its manliness, and advises ‘bum-fluff’ sporting fellas try the ‘foamy stuff from the supermarket’ instead.

And us girls might regularly reach for his razor at bath time (tut-tut), but the packaging makes it clear: It’s hands off for us.

To be in with a chance of bagging the Bluebeard set and match tickets, simply tell us where their home rink is.
