A FUNDRAISING concert will be taking MADCAP Theatre by storm tomorrow on behalf of a young mother fighting to raise funds for the nurses who looked after her beautiful baby girl.
Emily’s Star has been set up by Katie Elmer in memory of daughter Emily Elizabeth, and some familiar bands from around the city are doing their bit to raise funds.
All proceeds will go towards supporting Children with Complex Needs Nursing teams.
The Complex Needs Nursing team enabled Katie to take Emily home after her little angel was diagnosed with the genetic syndrome, Edwards, and given just four days to live.
Defying doctors’ odds, Emily survived a further 26 days.
Five-piece 60s Brit Pop singing Mad Mods & Englishmen and Northampton Reggae band The Bighead will take to the stage to entertain and raise vital funds.
Show your support for Emily’s Star by hot-footing it to the Wolverton venue tomorrow for 7.30pm.
The show will be hosted by
Blair Scriven, while the award-winning DJ Jobi Wan will also feature.
Tickets are £6, available online at www.emilysstar.co.uk/events.
