The performance, in partnership with Freeview, aimdds to showcase the benefits of pausing and rewinding live TV. The 14 strong all-male a cappella group agreed to take on the challenge of performing a number of popular carols in reverse – a task never undertaken before.

Under the direction of acclaimed vocal coach and conductor, Stuart Barr, who has worked with everyone from Dame Shirley Bassey to Alfie Boe, the playlist covers all time favourites including Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Let it Snow and Ding Dong Merrily on High.

The group’s Ollie Nichols, 18, said: “As a group we’re known for surprising audiences with off the wall performances but this project will raise the bar.

“Rehearsals have been a blast so we hope that busy shoppers will stop in their tracks when they hear us. If they don’t believe their ears the first time – we can always rewind the song to give them another chance.”
