It’s time to throw the blanket to the ground, dig into the picnic and remember the flags for a-waving – the annual Proms in the Park returns on Friday night.
Milton Keynes City Orchestra has once again linked arms with The Parks Trust to bring you a cracking summer’s evening, and they don’t come any better than enjoying a sterling musical ensemble in the very best of our green spaces, at Campbell Park.
Orchestra founder Hilary Davan Wetton will be putting the baton to good use, and acclaimed soprano Janice Watson will be putting her vocals to the event.
She has known Hilary for a good few years, so you can expect musical fireworks from them, before the more traditional type take over at the end of the night.
Speaking about the Proms, David Foster, chief executive of The Parks Trust, said: “It highlights everything a great British summer has to offer. It is great to see people having a good time while taking in the sounds.”
Tickets are on sale at £14 for adults, £8 for children, or take a family ticket for £35.
