A brother and businessmen duo have launched a wild sauna and cold plunge experience set in countryside near Milton Keynes.

George and Josh Taylor founded SUKU Saunas after they were inspired by a trip to Amsterdam where they came across a similar concept with saunas overlooking the canal.

George said: “We loved the community aspect and the natural high we got from the hot-cold combo, so we set up about creating a UK equivalent.

“In the high paced, digital world of today, Suku is a chance to unplug and reconnect with nature and those around you. You could say it’s a healthy alternative to the pub!”

“For me, it’s what it does for my mental health. The endorphins released from a sauna and cold plunge are next level!”

The wild sauna is set against a countryside backdrop in Towsester, away from the confines of gyms and hotels.

Its combination with the cold plunge is based on a Scandinavian tradition and is thought to boost energy levels, increase circulation and reduce stress among other benefits.

George added: “Some well documented benefits of cold water therapy include easing joint and muscle pain, improved quality of sleep, increased metabolism and even improved immune response.”

The experience is fully autonomous, meaning visitors book online, receive an access code and arrive to a pre-heated sauna and cold plunge.

Sessions are an hour long and can be booked privately as a group, individual or a communal session.
