One man said on social media: "Under the bridge between Shenley and Loughton has always been a haven for loitering kids. They are shouting abuse and throwing footballs at cars."

He added: "The Millennium Meadow is also a hotspot. They're vandalising the picnic benches and smashing glass bottles. Lack of lighting also means it is a nice spot for drug dealing."

Another resident also highlighted the bridge, saying: "Anti social behaviour most nights, drunk kids, shouting, intimidating those passing by, drug dealing from cars. Complaints have been made many times and yet no police presence."
