Visitors to Frosts garden Centre this Halloween will be able to have a go at guessing the weight of a monstrous pumpkin – raising funds for Willen Hospice in the process.
The pumpkin has been donated by Roger Hansard, who grew the vegetable on his allotment in Woburn Sands, for granddaughter Laura.
“It is great to have the pumpkin, which Roger has grown locally with seeds purchased from us, displayed at the Garden Centre and it’s brilliant that it can be put to good use to raise money for the Hospice,” said Frost’s managing director James Frost, “Happy guessing!”
For a £1 donation, customers can try and guess the weight, and the person closest to the correct weight will win a special Christmas experience at the centre for four people, including lunch, a session ice skating and a trip to Santa’s Grotto Experience.
The pumpkin is on display now, and through to November 1.
