Don your 50’s and 60’s garb ready for Rockerphenia on Saturday, when Wolverton Central Working Men’s Club welcomes Mods and Rockers for a charity fundraiser.
From 7.30pm until late, the club on Western Road will welcome DJs Mr DJ Phillips and Mr M Wilson for an evening of fun in celebration of these iconic eras.
There will be live music from Mad Mods and Englishmen, as well as a raffle and themed quiz, in aid of Willen Hospice.
Organiser Petrina Billington said: “It’s 10 years since my dear Dad passed away so I thought I’d do something to raise money for Willen Hospice, who looked after him so well.
“The 50’s and 60’s were ‘his’ years so what better than a 50’s and 60’s night!”
While the fancy dress is optional, the possibilities for embracing these eras are endless - girls, get those waists nipped in with prom dresses or show off your pins with a mini, and guys, dig out some narrow-legged trousers and a retro shirt and get sorted.
All proceeds will go to Willen Hospice and entry is just £3.
People are also invited to donate online via www.justgiving.com/rockerphenia.
