Roses & Pirates show goes on in memory of Fay
But then, a couple of weeks before Roses & Pirates were due to stage-step at Fenny Stratford venue Pink Punters and unleash the EP, Mariners Compass to their fans, the band was hit with the terrible news that their drummer Fay Howell had passed away, unexpectedly.
She was just 25 years old.
Unsurprisingly, shocked and reeling at their loss, the gig was cancelled.

“The band has worked so hard in the last year and wanted everyone to come together and be a part of it,” said manager Naomi.
“This is what Fay would have wanted...it was her dream to be working full time in music.”
The show will also feature music by Julia Collar, Ben Johnson and Cousin Avi.
Roses & Pirates will perform an acoustic set.
