CHRISTMAS is a-coming.

To prove the point, Frosts Garden Centre goes decidedly festive, with the arrival of the big man this Saturday.

Y’know, the red suited, black booted, white bearded chap.

At 11am, Santa and his team of helpers will arrival at the Woburn Sands hub, and settle down in his grotto.

He’ll stay there, meeting and greeting the good children of Milton Keynes, until Christmas Eve, when he has a spot of delivering to do.

Santa’s elves are being coy about the grotto this year, although one did have a quiet word with GO! and promised it is the best cabin the centre has seen so far.

The grotto will be open every weekend through to December 10th, and then daily, Monday to Sunday.

Visits to Santa cost £7.99 for children and £2.99 for adults.

It’s not only Santa’s arrival that will be making things feel decidedly festive this weekend though – the Garden Centre is bringing back the colder side with the return of the ice-skating rink...and you thought garden centres were just about compost and secateurs!

The rink will be open all day, every day through to January 8th, so there is plenty of time to go slip-sliding...

If you don’t want to get booted up, let the others take to the ice while you settle back and watch them at play in the viewing area.

Wyevale will also be serving up festive food and tempting you with treat stalls.

What’s not to like?

> Every Wednesday, you can indulge in a Skate & Cake Special – 45 minutes of skating fun followed by a scrummy cake and choice of tea, coffee or hot choccie to get you feeling all snuggly again, all for £8.49 (adults) or £5.99 for little mites.

> THE transformation of Middleton Hall into The Land of Enchanted Dreams is complete and the curtain will rise on the festive spectacle at thecentre:mk, tomorrow.

Santa will arrive at Door 1 (not just any door – the Marks & Spencer door) at 4.30pm together with his reindeer before travelling down to his Grotto which will open at 6pm.

The wonderful carousel returns, and Pixie Crescent will be worth a look in, with lots of Christmassy gifts waiting to be snapped up.
