Denbigh pupil Tom Henry braved the clippers on Christmas Day after setting up a fundraising page for the Bus Shelter MK.

The charity provides shelter, food and support for rough sleepers who are looking to make the right progress towards a life of independence away from the streets.

Using a converted double decker bus, they provide shelter, food and support.

Tom, who is passionate about giving back to the community, is donating his locks to the Littler Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer and other illnesses.

He had been growing his hair for a year and it was eight inches long..

A spokesman for Bus Shelter MK said: "What a fantastic effort from Tom Henry from his Christmas Day head shave. Thank you Tom, we think you are a star and hope you have some warm hats to wear in this freezing cold weather!"
