New Look to reopen in different and very high tech format at Central Milton Keynes

After closing its doors a month ago, New Look has announced it will open up again at the city centre this summer.

The new store will be the same part of the shopping centre – Midsummer Place – as the old one but will be smaller and very different.

It will be a ‘omni-hub’ for the brand – a new concept space that focuses on blending physical shopping with digital browsing displays services to create a “seamless customer experience”

Such stores feature dedicated service hubs for easy returns, click & collect, digital spaces and order-in-store capabilities.

New Look closed down dozens of stores in the UK after reporting a £77.2 million statutory loss before tax in 2025, blaming the problems on hifting consumer habits towards online shopping, rising in-store operating costs and declining profitability.

Now the fashion retailed hopes to bounce back with omni hubs and the new 8,460 sq ft store will be one of its first.

Local shoppers will benefit from a dedicated Customer Hub, making Click & Collect and returns easier, as well as access to online-exclusive ranges. And members of New Look’s loyalty scheme, Club New Look, will enjoy a more personalised shopping experience, with exclusive offers and rewards available both in-store and online, say bosses.

The store will also feature New Look’s latest collections across womenswear, accessories and footwear, as well as the 915 teen range, alongside “digital inspiration” and in-store displays to help customers discover and shop the range.

Mark Matthews, Retail Director at New Look, said: “We’re pleased to be opening our latest concept store in Milton Keynes and look forward to welcoming customers to Midsummer Place later this summer.”

He added: “This new space reflects how we are continuing to develop stores that support a more connected, omnichannel shopping experience. As we accelerate investment across our stores and digital capabilities, we are creating environments that better integrate our online and in-store offer for New Look customers.”

The omni store concept has been adopted by several fashion retailers and aims to create a smart, fast, and personalised shopping experience that will online sales while strengthening the physical retail footprint.
