One seller from Milton Keynes is selling six different lots of toilet rolls multi packs, including Tesco and Co-op own brand, clearly bought from six different stores.

And the price on average is a whopping £30 for a nine roll pack.

One pack of 18 rolls from this seller is a brand called Nicky Elite, which can be bought at Home Bargains stores for just £3.99. Yet the eBay 'Buy it Now' price is £28.99 - plus £3.99 'economy' postage.

The same eBayer is selling two Carex antibacterial hand Washes for £13.98 plus £2.99 postage.

Another seller from MK is offering a 16 roll family pack of Andrex for a massive £45 - £2.80 a roll - plus £2.90 postage.

And just in case these are not snapped up, the same seller is auctioning off another identical pack to the highest bid. Incredibly 23 people have placed a bid so far and the highest is £26. But the sky's the limit because the auction has almost five days still to go.

Hand santisers are another favourite among shameless sellers. There are 30 listings for these, all from domestic sellers in the Milton Keynes area, and the average price is £10 for a small bottle.

One local seller has obviously been buying up sanitisers and antibacterial washes. She has five listing of products from several different brands, with prices ranging from £14.99 for two Dettol hand washes to £12.99 for a small individual sanitiser. Postage is £2.90 per item. The good news is that the seller is offering a five per cent discount for multibuy.

To lighten the unashamed show of greed though, one eBay from MK with a sense of humour has put up for auction a single sheet of Cushelle toilet paper, which he describes as 'unused but in perfect condition, from a smoke free and pet free home'.

So far there have been eight offers, and bidding has reached the princely sum of 65p.

The winning bidder must pay £2.90 for the sheet to be carefully dispatched by Royal Mail 2nd Class, states the seller.

He adds: "Please note that the proceeds of this sale will be donated to Age UK to help assist our elderly relatives and loved ones at this crazy time."
