Oxjam is Oxfam’s month-long music festival, and in Olney, the charity’s music store is jumping in to the spirit of things this weekend, supplementing the sounds elsewhere with two days of aurative ace of their own.

A major CD and vinyl sale will tempt you with treats galore, and even those items not in the official sale are being slashed by 10% for the duration of the weekend.

“In our last sale we had some great names of vinyl at fantastic prices, including Pink Floyd and The Smiths,” said vinyl junkie and organiser Rowland Cleverley, right.

“We have some more great names this time but you will need to be early,” he advised.

Shoppers over the course of the weekend will have their ears tickled as they peruse the plastic, with vinyl being spun all weekend long.

Here’s what, and when:

11am: Bruce Springsteen – Born To Run

1pm: Mike Oldfield – Tubular Bells

3pm:Fleetwood Mac – Rumours

11am: Miles Davis – Kind of Blue

1pm: Bob Marley – Natty Dread

3pm – Customer selected album...

The store – tidily tucked away opposite the Co-op store in Olney is also seeking donations of music, whether CD, vinyl, cassettes and books, even instruments and turntables are welcomed.

If you can help, drop them off in-store, or for more information give the store a call on 01234 714592.
