The struggling bohemians of 19th century Paris are transported to the fringes of the Bloomsbury group in 1930s London.

Sung in English in a new translation, which allows everyone to enjoy the opera without having to tax their knowledge of Italian or read a translation, it has full orchestral accompaniment.

The vibrant score, relating the tale of the passionate and yet complex love between Rodolfo and his Mimi, will be excitingly brought to life by a principal cast of outstanding young professional singers and a talented local chorus.

Performances are at 7.30pm tomorrow (Saturday) and at 3pm on Sunday (November 6). Tickets cost £20, book online at or call the box office on 01280 825710.

Running time is two hours and 20 minutes including an interval.
