The Abbey is currently hosting a collection of some of the iconic dresses that featured in the series.

The shimmery, stunning creations are the work of the show’s current costume designer Vicky Gill and dress suppliers DSi.

Woburn Abbey’s historical apartments will make a particularly dramatic backdrop for the glitzy exhibition, housing some of the most popular pieces worn in the last series.

Denise Van Outen’s stunning full length scarlet dress and the Union Flag dress worn by Olympic Gold medallist Victoria Pendleton are among those that visitors will be able to view during the exhibition, which will be at the Abbey until September 29.

“Whether a fan of traditional ballroom or connoisseur of contemporary Charleston, we hope the combination of stunning Strictly Come Dancing dresses with Woburn Abbey’s classic art and architecture will score the exhibition a perfect 10!” said Jonathan Irby, general manager of Woburn Abbey.

“This is the largest and most comprehensive collection of dresses from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing that has ever gone on display and Woburn Abbey is extremely proud to host the exhibition.
