The Hamsters step off their spinning wheel

THE Stables has enjoyed quiet time over the past few weeks, but the peace is about to be shattered in spectacular style this Friday evening, with the arrival of the tribute mob Hats Off To Led Zeppelin.

If you consider yourselves fans of the Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham sound, then you should lap up this homage to the chaps.

Peter Eldridge earned stripes in the West End production of We Will Rock You, but forget Queen – he will be concerning himself with the vocals of Robert Plant tomorrow, when he lets his voice trip over classic tracks including Kashmir, Black Dog, Dazed and Confused, and naturally, Stairway To Heaven.

It will be their second appearance in the new city in two days as well – the band has just been endorsed by our own Marshall Amplification and earlier this morning played an exclusive set at the amp headquarters.

Tickets are £15, show time is 8pm.

On Saturday night The Hamsters return to the venue, but this won’t simply be another gig at a familiar place – it will be their last gig at The Stables.

The trio have had a blast for the last 25 years, but have now decided the time is right to step away from the wheel and take things a bit easier.

Long known for their interpretations of numbers by Hendrix and ZZ Top, the boys are sure to bring some of those classics out for you too, and we understand they’ll be going acoustic for a few numbers as well.
