Will Alan dish the dirt during special Frosts visit?

If you can’t tell a pansy from a painted daisy, and struggle to tell the difference between a weed and a wallflower, you need some help.

Luckily for you, then, this week is National Gardening Week, writes Sammy Jones.

Frosts Garden Centre have booked a green-fingered ace to share his knowledge, answer your questions and tackle any gardening woes you want to share.

Gardening expert and television presenter Alan Titchmarsh will be at the Woburn Sands gardening emporium all day on Saturday.

He will give two talks – at 11am he will tell you how to transform your outside space into a welcome hub for wildlife, and then at 2pm he will dig deep for a second talk, this time sharing the secrets of a small garden.

If you let him, he’ll have you rooted to the spot!

Alan will stop raking over gardening problems at 1pm, and switch his attentions to book signing for fans.

Tickets for the talks cost £5, and that fee will be donated to the Supershoes charity, which creates personalised canvas shoes for seriously ill and severely disabled children here in the UK.

“We are delighted to welcome Alan back, he’s a good friend of Frosts and we are excited that he’s going to host this day of talks for our visitors,” said general manager James Frost.

“We wanted to take this opportunity raise some money for charity as well; Superheroes is a fantastic initiative which we are glad to support.”

Tickets are limited.
