A 200-year-old pub on the Grand Union Canal in Cosgrove will be re-opening next month following a £1.5 million refurbishment.
The Navigation Inn has been a destination on the canal since it first opened in 1809.
A revamp project has been carried out which includes exposing the original stonework, re-instating previously blocked-up fireplaces, and a new extension incorporating a large outdoor decked viewing platform and extended restaurant area overlooking the new gardens.
The pub will reopen on June 6. The restoration work is the result of a new partnership between Oakman Inns and Greene King. The pub is also recruiting new staff.
