A Milton Keynes church has received a £37,000 grant to upgrade its building.
The Church of the Servant King & Ridgeway Community Centre, Furzton was given the money by WREN which will enable them to replace the moveable walls which create a flexible space enabling the building to be used to its full potential by the church and community.
Rev Mike Morris: said “Without this generous grant we would not have been able to carry out this vital work. The screens have become increasingly difficult to move and potentially dangerous, and the inability to move the screens would have restricted the use of the building by the community.
“We are extremely grateful to WREN for their support and look forward to having the new screens in place, securing the future of this valuable community resource.”
Peter Cox, managing director of WREN, said ‘WREN makes a difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to community, environmental and heritage projects across the UK. We’re delighted to support Church of the Servant King & Ridgeway Community Centre and their valuable work.”
