A magical television and remote control, which can zap telly addicts so that they join the set of their favourite programmes at the lick of a button, has won a national award.
Six-year-old Lily Devereaux invtented the device as part of a comptetition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of independent retailer Furniture Village.
Lily’s creation would allow viewers to play with products being advertised on screen, to meet their favourite celebrity, or go on holiday at the touch of a button.
Charlie Harrison, marketing director at Furniture Village, said: “We are glad that so many children have been involved in the competition and it is heartening to see the great level of care and thought that wentbehind the winning inventions. Furniture Village salutes this next generation of entrepreneur inventors.”
