All the fun of the carnival!

Glorious sunshine greeted the Newport Pagnell Carnival over the weekend with thousands turning out to enjoy the vast range of entertainment.

An action-packed Saturday saw a re-enactment of a Viking battle, the return of the Wildcatz Cheerleaders, spectacular displays by the Duston

German Shepherd Dog Training Club, and an incredibly tall version of the Fab Four with the Big Beatles display.

Also gracing the event was the Newport Pagnell Carnival Court with Queen Emily Agnew, aged 15, deputy queen Sarah Barrington, aged 14, and princesses 13-year-old Stephanie Forster and 11-year-old Emily Brewer.

The ever-popular vintage car rally was one of the main highlights on Sunday, parading through the town from Blakelands, through the High Street and then into the meadow for closer inspection.

Other features of Sunday's fun included a duck race, falconry display, and the Great Gappo and Stevie Spud children's magic workshops.

Following on from last year's success the psychic fair marquee was present for both days with the Milton Keynes Model Engineering Society once again supplying the carnival's miniature railway.

The Newport Pagnell Carnival Committee would like to thank all the helpers who contributed to making the event such a success.
