A Milton Keynes student turned actor will hit the big screen later this month, starring in the independent release, Hard Tide.
Nathanael Wiseman will take the lead in the crime drama, which is based on a true story.
“It’s a real life crime thriller with heart, about a small time criminal trying to do the right thing for once in his life,” he says.
“On the verge of a turf war, he ends up going on the run with a neglected nine-year-old girl and becoming implicated in multiple murders.”
Not simply the star of the work, Nathanael is also responsible - with co-director Robert Osman - of bringing the story to the cinema.
When they began the journey they had no financial backing or support, but their hard work has paid off and the film is now receiving rave reviews.
“...to receive four stars in Total Film magazine, which I read as a kid is just awesome!”
Nathanael’s journey into the movies began while he was a student at Stantonbury Campus.
“I love Stantonbury, it helped me prepare for everything,” he said.
“I’m chronically dyslexic, so I struggled academically. There was a time when I was heading down a bad path, but there were some amazing teachers there who turned me around.”
And to say thank you to those that helped him, Nathanael will return to Stantonbury Campus imminently to share his wisdom and inspire other students.
“The only advice I would ever dish out is to follow your heart,” Nathan added.
“Go and make stuff happen, and tell the stories that interest you.”
