Andrew was born to be wild

THAT Time of the Month comedy club brings the first laughs of its 2012 campaign this weekend, with a returning fave – Andrew O’ Neill.

He is a self-confessed show-off who has cleverly combined his love of stand-up with his passion for metal music, and to that effect has become a familiar face on the comedy stages at rock fests including Download, Bloodstock and Sonisphere.

It’s a canny way to score a free ticket, that is.

Andrew has also done the warm-up stint for BBCs Never Mind the Buzzcocks roar.

Steve Coogan has been charmed by O’Neill’s on-stage style, as has The Guardian: ‘He’s got a natural optimism and love of silliness that leaves you feeling remarkably positive…a winning blend of polemic and off-beat whimsy,’ they decided.

Andrew will turn those January frowns upside down on Sunday night when he appears at hosting venue The Cannon in Newport Pagnell.

Doors open at 7pm prompt and tickets are a fiver in advance, £6 on the door.

Bearing in mind his love for the metal, don’t applaud his talent though.

Instead, raise your fists and yell…
