Anniversary celebrations for Thomas Cook in Milton Keynes

Thomas Cook is celebrating its 175th Anniversary in 2016, and a cycle challenge is one of the many activities the firm is undertaking by way of celebration.

On Tuesday Thomas Cook staff members will hosting a 65-mile bike ride from the new Thomas Cook offices in Peterborough, to Bletchley.

Avid cyclists will then continue the challenge for a further five days, arriving in Paris on Sunday 19 June, in recognition of Thomas Cook’s first trip to Europe in 1855.

Those in the saddle will be raising money for Thomas Cook’s Children’s Charity and the firm will be matching the money donated by suppliers and partners.

The route starts in Peterborough and passes through Elton, Steeple Gidding, Kimbolton, Riseley, Harrold, Turvey and Cranfield before the hungry bikers arrive in Bletchley for a well-deserved celebratory barbeque.
