Firefighters were sent out to extinguish a blazing rubbish container in Milton Keynes early this morning.

The incident was reported at 1:47am on Barnsdale Drive in Westcroft.

The Bucks Fire and Rescue Service reported the incident as 'suspected arson'.

Firefighters used a hose reel to snuff out the fire.

Another case of burning rubbish in Milton Keynes required emergency help yesterday.

At 1:56pm yesterday, firefighters extinguished a fire in a skip using a main jet.

Two incidents of rubbish being burnt in Milton Keynes, reported over the weekend, were believed to have been started deliberately.

Three arson attacks, not confirmed as connected incidents, were reported between February 26 and March 2 in the borough. These incidents involved stationary vehicles in Milton Keynes being set alight.
