Appeal following racially aggravated criminal damage in Newport Pagnell

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of racially aggravated criminal damage in Newport Pagnell.

Overnight between 5pm and 9am on Tuesday (Feb 20) and Wednesday (Feb 21), a burial area in Ousebank Gardens Grave Yard and the nearby church St Peter and St Paul were damaged.

Red spray paint was used to daub writing over a vault and an external church wall.

Investigating officer, PC Liam Farrow said: “We are appealing for witnesses after this distressing incident where a grave and church have been subjected to racially aggravated criminal damage.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed this or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area overnight to please get in touch.
