Police are appealing for witnesses after vandals damaged a grave in New Bradwell.

The incident happened on Thursday, July 9, with offenders throwing a tin of white paint over the grave and headstone at the graveyard in Newport Road. Graveside items were also stolen.

The incident is the latest in a series in which the same grave has been targeted over the past few months, with graffiti sprayed on the grave, and the granite base smashed and cracked open.

PC Robert Burton, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “Over the past few months a specific grave has been targeted by vandals whose intent was to cause serious damage leaving the family absolutely devastated.

“I’m keen to hear from anyone who may know something about any of these incidents to come forward and contact police via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry line, 101.

“If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers (opens new window) anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
