Appeal for information following a rape in Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police is investigating the rape of a woman in Milton Keynes.

Between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Friday (November 18) the victim, a woman aged in her thirties, reported walking around Central Milton Keynes when she was approached by a man not known to her.

He followed her and subsequently raped her in bushes near a play area. The exact location of the offence is not currently known however it is believed to be at South Row or in the Fishermead area, near the H6.

The offender is black, of muscular build, was wearing long trousers and a hat.

Following the incident the victim walked to the Xscape Centre in Central Milton Keynes. She then went to the BP Connect garage on the H6, where officers were called to assist her following a report of a fear for welfare incident.

“Detectives are investigating the report and appealing for anyone who has any information which could assist the investigation to come forward,” said Det Sgt Laura Herrington.

“Specially trained officers are currently supporting the victim while we work to obtain further details about the circumstances from her.

“Officers have been carrying out patrols in the area and anyone who has any concerns can approach and speak to an officer.”
