Armed robbery on bookies

POLICE are searched for an armed robber who raided a city bookmakers and threatened a customer with a knife.

Thames Valley Police officers are appealing for any information on the robbery, which took place in the Coral bookmakers in the New Bradwell High Street on Tuesday night.

At around 7.30pm the man, described as slim and white, walked into the shop and demanded cash from the till.

He then threatened a 26-year-old male customer with a knife before leaving with the money.

He was wearing a dark hooded top and large sunglasses.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Matt Hemming, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area of New Bradwell on the evening of the robbery.”
