A MAN has been released on bail after a motorcyclist was killed in a road traffic incident.

A 45-year-old man, from Northampton, was riding his motorbike on the H3 Monks Way, close to the junction of Octavia Drive in Bancroft when he was in collision with a blue Renault Laguna, driven by a 39-year-old man from Milton Keynes.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident on Friday at around 7.05pm.

The 39-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The collision happened just after the rush hour and there was still commuter traffic around on the roads.

Anyone with any information on the incident, or who may have seen the vehicles before, can call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
