A fleet of new premium buses are to be launched in Milton Keynes, it has been announced.
Arriva The Shires will introduce its new buses onto service 6, which runs between Lakes Estate in Bletchley, Central Milton Keynes and Stony Stratford.
Sapphire has been created especially by Arriva to offer customers a more luxurious way to travel, improving their connectivity and comfort along some of the country’s most critical commuter routes.
Representing an investment of £300,000, these 12 sparkling new single deck buses, offering a host of high-tech features, will greatly enhance the customer journey and deliver a much needed boost to this already high-performance route.
From the free WiFi and charging points for mobile phones and laptops, to the on-board destination screens displaying up-to-date passenger information, these buses will keep passengers connected in more ways than one.
Sapphire will also provide audio and visual announcements as the bus approaches stops along the route.
Passengers will also be able to travel in style on high back coach seats offering enhanced space and comfort.
The fleet will officially be launched to the public outside the Xscape, Milton Keynes on the November 21.
The event will offer opportunity to take a look around the new vehicles, learn more about the service, and pose any questions to the dedicated Sapphire team.
