Police investigate suspected arson after two lorries catch fire in Milton Keynes

Police are investigating a suspected arson after two lorries' trailers caught on fire in Milton Keynes earlier today (Thursday, September 17).

Buckinghamshire and MK Fire and Rescue Service said on Twitter it sent three fire engines to the incident at 1pm, in Brunleys, Kiln Farm.

The fire service said it received nearly 50 999 calls in the space of a few minutes from members of the public reporting the incident.

An incident update at 2pm from the fire service said one of the lorries contained bubble wrap and that arson 'has not been ruled out as a possible cause'.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating a suspected arson following an incident in Brunleys, Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes at around 1.05pm today (17/9).

"The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101, or making a report online, quoting reference 43200292565."
