Famous academic and author of The Divide, Jason Hickel, will join Anna in conversation. She will talk about consumer capitalism and Hickel will discuss economic degrowth, questioning politicians’ and economists’ unquestioning belief that growth is necessary.

Professor Kevin McConway will chair the event.

“It’s an opportunity to engage with difficult political ideas in an accessible way with a celebrated academic .

“I’m really looking forward to it,” Anna said.

Anna’s politically engaged work has been exhibited nationally, at Tate Modern, and internationally, in Venice, America and Iceland.

Her Breathing Room installation in centre:mk proved a huge hit in 2014.
