Author wins international award

City author, Mel Hague, has won an award in the Western Novels category of the GLOBAL EBOOK AWARDS set up by Dan Poynter.

Mel Hague won the award for his book Twisted River, one of three western novels he has written and had published by Boston, Lincs publisher PMP.

Mel Hague was an international Country Music Entertainer for almost 40 years. In 1980 he won the prestigious Golden Guitar Award as the Top Country Music Entertainer in the UK. He had to retire in 2004 with a severe back problem which took away his mobility. He now manages with two walking sticks or a wheelchair for longer or more difficult journeys.

He began writing seriously in 1998 and now has three western novels published as well as a supernatural horror novel entitled Emporium of Death and a sci fi novel called Harvest which he has self-published on Kindle. He’s also working on a fourth western novel called As Good As Dead.
