Award for nurseries serving up fresh and healthy meals
Staff at nurseries across the new city are thrilled to be part of a company that now boasts a silver Food for Life Catering Mark.
The Soil Association’s award recognises the efforts staff go to ensuring that youngsters who attend Acorn Childcare day nurseries across the new city enjoy meals prepared using fresh, seasonal local produce.
Acorn Childcare has nurseries in Kents Hill, New Bradwell, Shenley Church End, Westcroft and Fishermead. The childcare provider has invested in sourcing the best farm-assured meat and MSC certified meat and is enthusiastically promoting healthy eating and this latest inspection acknowledges its commitment to serving up fresh and nutritious meals.
