A Rotary music event in the sunshine has raised more than £900 for Willen Hospice.

The Rotary Club of the Brickhills hosted a Bands and Burgers afternoon which has been hailed a huge success.

The afternoon featuring local musicians proved popular with friends, families and residents of Bow Brickhill, helped by the fine weather, a bar and barbecue.

Musical acts included MK Acapella, Tracey’s Dancezone and Sarah Malleson on Irish pipes.

Other performers had links with MK Music Service, MK Sinfonia or were friends and family of Rotary Club members.

The open air concert at Bow Brickhill Pavilion finished with a flourish of French horns in memory of David Lack, a regular horn player with MK Sinfonia, who sadly died last year at Willen Hospice.

The Rotary Club thank everyone who performed and attended, and also to local companies who kindly donated raffle prizes.
