Popular BBC TV Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull is to host the MK Business Achievement Awards in March. Bill, who has presented Breakfast since 2011, often shares the sofa with Strictly star Susanna Reid. A former Strictly contestant himself, Bill appeared on the show in 2005, surviving for seven weeks.

He also presents Songs of Praise, has appeared in Doctor Who - as himself, and supports Wycombe Wanderers FC.

“Bill Turnbull is well-liked and engages comfortably with his audience. He is also respected for his journalism, previously on Radio 4’s Today programme and as a correspondent for BBC News, covering anything from revolutions to natural and man-made disasters,” said Nicholas Mann, managing director of Interdirect, joint organiser of the awards with Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership (MKBLP).

“We can promise Bill, and our guests, a great evening as he helps us recognise and celebrate the best of business in Milton Keynes, in the glittering surroundings of the ballroom at the DoubleTree by Hilton,” he adsed.

The Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA), take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton at stadiummk on March 20, 2014.

The awards cover a wide spectrum of businesses with 10 categories and the overall ‘Business of the Year’ chosen by the judging panel from among the category winners.
