Bletchley library re-opens after state-of-the-art modernisation

The library had been closed for eight months but now has a number of new facilities including computers, children’s activities and even a Knit and Natter group.

There is free Wi-Fi and people can also hire rooms.

The modernisation project was funded by Section 106 grant money and West Bletchley Town Council.

Mayor David Hopkins, performed the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

Councillor Liz Gifford, Cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “We are investing in our libraries in Milton Keynes and we are really excited to be re-opening the newly refurbished Bletchley library. It will provide a fun and vibrant space for the customers to use. “

Bletchley library is the second busiest library in MK borough. It issues around 90,000 books every year

and has around 81,000 visits a year from members of the public. New members are welcome.
