A Blue Week proves a good thing for Willen Hospice fundraisers

People raised the cash in a variety of ways - from dressing up as smurfs to blue bake sales and sponsored challenges.

Willen Hospice needs to raise £3.6 million every year, which can be broken down to around £10,000 a day, to fund its specialist care.

Blue Week is one of many fundraising activities the centre undertakes to raise the cash.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our supporters and volunteers who fundraised during Blue Week and helped us hit this incredible total to support our patient care,” said Dawn Clark, fundraising manager at Willen Hospice.
