Gordon said he wanted to do something to help with Alzheimer’s as he was concerned that younger members of his own family and many others could be affected by this terrible disease in the future.

When he mentioned to his family that he intended to hold a bowls day to raise funds, the family all agreed to make a big joint effort.

With this in mind, it was decided to hold a big prize draw, with the family all contributing prizes.

As word got around numerous other prizes where being donated by organisations and individuals.
