TWO men have been arrested after a boy was robbed on a redway in Pennylands last week.

At about 10pm on Tuesday June 14, a 16-year-old boy was walking from Neath Hill and was in the centre of Pennylands, near to a circular part of the redway behind Broadpiece, when he was struck on the head from behind.

When he went to get up, he noticed five or six men standing over him, who stole his wallet containing £20, his mobile phone and his iPod.

The victim sustained facial injuries in the robbery but was not seriously injured.

One of the group was a black male, the others were white. The two men arrested, aged 17 and 18, have been released on bail until Friday July 22.
