Children from Long Meadow School in Shenley Brook End learned more about the food on their plate during a visit to Wolverton Tesco.
Pupils saw the giant mixers and big ovens in the bakery and sampled tiger bread, pomegranates, mango and coconut.
They also visited the fish and cheese counters.
The visit was part of the Farm to Fork Trail.
The children received a goody bag of fruit and stickers at the end of the visit.
Long Meadow teacher Karen Mitchell said: “We would all like to say a big thank you to everyone at the Wolverton Tesco store who made our visit so interesting and enjoyable.”
